Once the box is in the trash, a regular cart can't tell you much. You don't know what temperature it was made for, and you find out it's empty when it stops hitting.
Smart Pods carry that information with them. Each one has a small chip that says what the pod is, who filled it and how it should be heated, and Slyder Pro reads it the moment the pod clicks in.
The video follows one pod from the producer's bench to someone's hand.
A Smart Pod is written at the Flashing Station, then read by Slyder Pro. The pod in the video is a demo with sample data.
Smart Pods leave us empty. A licensed producer fills them and places them on a Flashing Station, a desktop machine with a touchscreen and trays that hold 16 pods each.
On the screen, the producer picks the product (in the video, a demo product called Citrus Burst) and selects the trays. The station writes every pod in one pass, and each pod's light turns green when it's done.
Each pod leaves with:

Put the pod on Slyder Pro and the screen says Loading Pod. A moment later you see the pod's card: its art, its name, who made it, whether it's indica, sativa or hybrid, its cannabinoid percentages and the producer's description.
There's nothing to set up. Slyder Pro starts at the temperature the producer picked for that oil. If you like it warmer or cooler, change it on the screen, the same way you would with a 510 cart.

The card also shows how much is left in the pod. Slyder Pro estimates it from your sessions and lets you know when the pod is almost empty, so the last hit isn't a surprise.
The pod carries its best-by date too. If that date has passed, Slyder Pro warns you that the pod has expired and that you shouldn't use it. It won't stop you, but you'll know.
Knock-off carts are common. Every Smart Pod has its own ID, and the data on its chip is encrypted. Slyder Pro checks it each time a pod goes in and won't recognize a copy without the right data. To the device, it's as if no pod were there. Every real pod can also be traced back to the batch it came from.
Smart Pods aren't on sale yet. We make them empty, and only licensed producers will fill them and sell them, in places where that's legal. slyderpro.com won't sell them.
There's also a Dual Smart Pod, which holds two blends and lets you set the ratio between them. Read about it in Repeatable Blends with the Dual Smart Pod.
You don't have to wait for Smart Pods to use Slyder Pro. With the 510 Adapter it heats your own carts by temperature, in degrees, and with the Pyra Adapter it handles your concentrates. Both come in the Launch Bundle.
